Dr. Teresa Johnson, Veterinarian
Dr. Teresa Johnson graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing for 32 years. When it comes to her career in veterinary medicine, Dr. Johnson has a passion for providing the best possible care for her clients and patients, some of whom have been clients at For Paws Veterinary Clinic for over 15 years! In Dr. Johnson’s free time, she enjoys fishing and sewing!
Dr. Edwina Gutierrez, Veterinarian
Dr. Edwina Gutierrez earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University and has been practicing for 10 years. Dr. Gutierrez’s professional interests include general healthcare for cats and dogs, general practice surgery, and veterinary acupuncture. She prides herself on client education and providing general care for pets to enhance their quality of life. Dr. Gutierrez finds joy in knowing that she has made a difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In her free time, Dr. Gutierrez enjoys reading novels, fishing, and home improvement. She also spends quality time with her family and loves watching her children perform in sports. As a fun fact, Dr. Gutierrez loves ghost stories and mysteries. She is originally from New Mexico and shares her home with a black lab/collie mix named Missy, a tiger-striped love bug named Tomas, and a beautiful orange domestic long hair named Maui.
Dr. Shelly Rodewald, Veterinarian
Dr. Shelly Rodewald attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing for 22 years. She enjoys getting to know both the owners and their furry family members. It is her privilege to provide quality continuity of care for the entirety of each patient’s life. Dr. Shelly enjoys both preventive care, as well as solving challenging medical puzzles.
In her free time, she likes exploring new hiking areas with her family and dogs, playing clarinet in a musical ensemble, and volunteering with various community organizations.
Debbie, Technician
Debbie attended Colorado Mountain College and has been in the veterinary industry for 24 years. Due to her passion for caring for animals and many years of experience, Debbie takes pride in her ability to remain calm in emergency situations. Outside of her work at the clinic serving clients and patients, she enjoys watching movies!
Amber, CVT
Amber found her love for animals early on. She grew up in Iowa and spent every summer on her grandparent’s farm. After leaving a carer in retail management, she pursued her love of animals by becoming a veterinary technician. She went back to school and received a degree in Veterinary Technology from Northwest Mississippi Community College in 2004 and has been in the veterinary field ever since. She has experience with small animals and animal behavior and has been an instructor at a local Vet Tech school. In her free time, she loves to hike, ski, and read. She has a large animal family consisting of dogs, cats, a guinea pig, fish, and goats.
Kyrin, Kennel Technician
Kyrin has been practicing for almost two years and was homeschooled. She prides herself in keeping the clinic clean. In her free time, she enjoys archery and woodwork.
Stephanie, CVT
Stephanie attended Pima Medical Institute for her required courses. She has been practicing for four years. She provides education to clients. Colleagues call her the cat whisperer. She enjoys reading, loves to travel, and watches children’s sports in her spare time.
Trinity, Veterinary Tech Assistant
She has been practicing for two years. She prides herself on making sure every patient receives top-notch care. In her free time, she likes to read, go on hikes, and clean when she is really bored.
Bailee, Veterinary Assistant
Bailee attended Pima Medical Institute before kickstarting her career in veterinary care! She has almost three years of experience now, and she prides herself on her ability to learn in an environment that is always changing. In her spare time, Bailee coaches basketball and enjoys reading!
Jennifer, Veterinary Assistant
Jennifer attended Bridgerland Tech in 2018 for her veterinary assistant certification (Logan, UT). She is now currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Program! Jennifer prides herself in her mission to make each visit a positive experience for each pet. In her spare time, she likes to go mountain biking and hiking with her husband, Rick, and their two dogs, Carey and Halford.
Cindy, Hospital Manager Receptionist
Cindy has ten years of experience in the veterinary industry. In her role as the Hospital Manager and Client Service Representative, she is dedicated to making each client feel welcome and creating a relationship so that clients trust that their pets are their top priority. In her spare time, Cindy likes to read, play video games, and go camping.
Julie, Receptionist
Julie attended Orange Park High School and Florida Junior College. Julie has gained experience by diving into her role at For Paws Veterinary Clinic. She works to ensure clients feel supported and are seen for appointments when necessary. She prides herself in her ability to address patient concerns and follow through to ensure they receive the best care. In her spare time, she likes to read and spend time in the great outdoors!
Logan, Receptionist
As a Customer Service Representative at For Paws Veterinary Clinic, Logan is dedicated to accommodating and supporting each client to provide the best experience possible. In her spare time, she likes to read, watch movies, and do diamond paintings.
